Eleni Alexandrou joined the GICHD in February 2019 as RBM Officer. In her function, she supports the improvement of the institutional architecture that ensures the implementation of RBM within the GICHD. Her main responsibilities include conducting analysis on and coordinating the GICHD’s RBM processes, management cycle and tools. In addition, she is providing technical support and coaching to GICHD staff to enhance individual as well as collective knowledge and capacity on implementing RBM at the Centre.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Eleni Alexandrou worked as a Junior Programme Officer for the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) within the Leadership, Crisis and Conflict Management program. Previously, she had represented the Permanent Missions of the Helenic Republic and the United Kingdom in Geneva at the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) and other UN mechanisms as a human rights expert before joining the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a migration project consultant.
Eleni Alexandrou holds a BA in Political Science and an LL.M in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex, United Kingdom.
