The Yemen Association For Landmines / UXO Survivors is an independent legal entity licensed under Law No. (1) 2001 on NGOs and Associations. It was established on 1/9/2004. Through a seven-member board of directors and a three-member oversight and inspection committee to be elected by members every three years, the association operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and supported by the National Mine Action Committee and Yemen Executive Mine Action Center. It has an accounting system that is reviewed by a legal accountant on a regular and transparent basis. Vision: To rehabilitate innocent women, elderly, children and young people who are victims of landmines and unexploded ordnance, so that they can regain their place in society and live in dignity.
