The GICHD is housed at the Maison de la paix campus, in the heart of the International Geneva.

The Maison de la paix (MdP) is the result of a public-private partnership between the Graduate Institute of International Relations and Development Studies, public authorities and donors. It hosts a dozen organisations that work on international issues, providing a unique opportunity for significant exchange, network development and synergies between its partners. It positions itself as an international hub of expertise and research in the fields of peace and security policy, and contributes to the role of Geneva as an international center for diplomacy and dialogue.

The GICHD sits on the working group of several MdP "Hubs": these are inter-organisational groups that coordinate research projects and events on campus, such as the Gender and Diversity Hub, Sustainable Development Goals Hub, and the Communications working group.

Included in the events organised at the Maison de la paix is the annual Geneva Peace Week and Batisseurs de paix - a biennial event that invites local Geneva students into the MdP so that might learn more about the work being conducted on campus and encourages them to think about how they too can contribute to peace. The 2019 edition of Batisseurs de paix welcomed more than 400 students, who participated in workshops held in nine MdP organisations.
