Ammunition management advisory team
Nadim Amer joined the GICHD in September 2018. As a Programme Officer in the Ammunition Management Advisory Team (AMAT) his role is to assist the outreach and capacity development activities of AMAT with financial planning and monitoring, grant management and liaising with partners. He also assists in the programme administration and implementation of AMAT’s project for the European Union examining the feasibility of an internationally recognised Arms and Ammunition Validation System (AAMVS). He operated previously as Programme Officer in GICHD’s Regional Cooperation Programme.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Nadim Amer worked at Geneva Call, supporting the programme managers in donor relations, finances and the implementation of projects in the Near and Middle East Region. He also worked at the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces helping the development and implementation of security sector reform projects in the Middle East.
Nadim Amer is an officer within the Swiss Armed Forces, serving as a language specialist in fulfilment of his national service. He holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master in Public Management and Policy, with specialisation in Public Finance and Economics, from the University of Lausanne.
