Ammunition management advisory team

Philippe Mouchet joined the GICHD in January 2023 as Senior Advisor National Capacities AMAT.

In his role, Philippe works closely with the AMAT Head, Programme Managers and Technical Advisors to strengthen the capacities of states and partners in safe and secure ammunition through-life management.

Philippe is an officer in the Swiss Armed Forces, seconded to the GICHD by the Swiss Armed Forces Staff until December 2025.

Prior to joining the GICHD, Philippe held the position of Head of Ammunition Management at the Swiss Armed Forces Planning Staff for almost ten years.

In this function, he also represented Switzerland in various NATO Working Groups including the Munitions Safety Information Analysis Center (MSIAC).

Philippe holds a Bachelor and a PhD in Science (geology) from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) as well as a MSc in Military Operations Research from Cranfield University at Shrivenham (UK).
