Introduction  

Welcome to the code of conduct of the GICHD digital community. The “digital community” platform is moderated by the GICHD. In this document, we use the term  "we", "us" and "our" to refer to the GICHD.

This code of conduct governs all members' use of the digital community platform and lists the main community etiquette and rules that all members are expected to follow to ensure a safe space to exchange knowledge and expertise.

Please read these guidelines carefully and contact the community moderator if you have any questions.

Community etiquette

The community etiquette guidelines promote a safe, cooperative, healthy, and inclusive digital community for all the members.

As a GICHD digital community member, you agree to abide by the following:

  • As a community member you are welcome to share best practices, ask questions, share resources and have a good conversation with other members.
  • Respect all the community members' opinions and behave professionally and respectfully.
  • Stay on the discussion topic and share useful information with other members.
  • Post your comments and materials only to the related topics and lists, and don’t spam the other posts with the same content.
  • Share clear and concise information, messages and warn the members of lengthy posts at the beginning of the message body.

Community rules

  • Do not share false information and news from uncredible or unverified sources. This will harm your credibility as a member and affect the other members of the community.
  • Do not post any materials that may infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, or any intellectual property right. Make sure you have the rights, license, or permission before sharing any materials.
  • Do not share with any third party outside the digital community the members' names, email addresses, or any information without the permission of the members.
  • Respect the copyrights of any shared written content ( text, report, study, article, or any other text ) shared from other sources in the digital community.

  • All the information and files shared on the digital community platform either by the GICHD moderator or by members are not allowed to be reused for commercial purposes.  
  • Trolling, cyberbullying, insulting, public or private harassment, and personal or religious or political attacks/discussions are prohibited.
  • Do not post any personal or sensitive content or graphic violence media ( injuries, death, crime, fights, child abuse ) or hateful imagery or speech.
  • Commercial promotions and advertising, spamming, going off-topic, and inappropriate content placement are not allowed.

Violations and reporting

This digital community is created to share knowledge, and exchange opinions, ideas, and expertise. The GICHD moderator does its best to maintain the conversation's positiveness, integrity, and inclusion.  

As a member of the community, we rely on your feedback to ensure that the community remains a respectful and constructive space. Please report directly to the GICHD community moderator if you see any violation of the rules or inappropriate content.

Please make sure to read carefully the code of conduct rules before posting your content or reporting other members. 

The GICHD moderator conducts periodic audits on the posted and shared content by the members. In case any inappropriate materials (posts, files, pictures, videos, conversations, links, etc...) are brought to the attention of the moderator, the GICHD has full discretion to remove content, terminate access or take any other steps it deems necessary.
