Ammunition management advisory team
Benjamin King joined the GICHD in September 2020 as a Programme Manager within the Ammunition Management Advisory Team (AMAT). Benjamin coordinates the implementation of several projects, notably AMAT’s work with the European Union, and develops new partnerships with governments and regional organisations. Benjamin provides programmatic and policy advice on ammunition management as requested by States.
Prior to joining GICHD, Benjamin spent over eleven years working in the field of arms and ammunition control. From 2010 to 2019, he was a researcher and project manager at the Small Arms Survey, where he conducted new research and assessments, and supported national efforts to implement arms control measures. Most recently, Benjamin worked as an independent arms control consultant with several clients in Europe and the Middle East.
Benjamin earned a master’s degree in international policy studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
