
Standards and Operations
Georgina Darlow joined the GICHD in October 2024 and holds the position of Advisor in the Research and Innovation Programme. In her role, she acts as Advisor for research and innovation related initiatives, and on methods that improve the delivery of Explosive Ordnance Risk Reduction (EORR) operations.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Georgina Darlow worked with the UNMAS Somalia programme, where she provided analysis in support of both upstream and downstream measures to counter the threat of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Previously, she was based in Nairobi, Kenya, where she worked as a risk analyst focused on East Africa in support of various diplomatic missions, (I)NGOs and commercial entities.
Georgina holds a degree in War Studies from King’s College London and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations with the Harvard Extension School.
