
Research, Innovation, Standards and Operations (RISO)
Kinda Samra joined the GICHD in September 2020 and holds the position of Project Coordinator in the Research and Innovation team since June 2025. In her current role, she coordinates innovation projects and supports the implementation of research and innovation activities related initiatives that improve the delivery of Explosive Ordnance Risk Reduction (EORR) operations.
In her previous position as a Programme Officer within the Research, Innovation, Standards and Operations (RISO) division, Kinda supported a wide range of projects, including project cycle management, the organization of workshops and conferences, and the development of training materials, policy guidelines, and technical toolkits.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Kinda completed several internships with organizations including Swisspeace, the BBC Beirut office, and Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB), where she supported initiatives focused on media, peacebuilding, and refugee access to international employment.
Kinda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in International Law from the American University of Beirut (AUB), and a Master’s degree in Human Rights, Transitional Justice, and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
