External relations, policy & cooperation programme
Tinatin Maurer-Shengelia joined the GICHD in April 2023 and holds the position of Programme Officer, Cooperation Programmes. In this role, she provides operational, project management, administrative and financial support to the Cooperation Programmes with a main focus on the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. In these regions she liaises with partners, mine-affected programmes and other stakeholders as well as contributes to the design and implementation of programme-related events and activities.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Tinatin Maurer-Shengelia worked with Danish Refugee Council in the South Caucasus region, Oxfam and Consortium of Dutch NGOs in Myanmar and Human Dynamics in Georgia.
Tinatin Maurer-Shengelia’s academic background include a MSc in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a MSc in Economics from the Tbilisi State University.
